The SOR weatherproof opposed piston type differential pressure switch is basically two static o-ring type pressure sensors at opposite ends of a common piston shaft.  The housing is weatherproof or can be upgraded to an explosion proof rating. Basic models with standard wetted parts are normally suitable for air, oil, water and non-corrosive process fluids. Operating performance is optimized when system pressure is relatively constant.

The SOR weatherproof pressure switch is the lower cost alternative to the explosion proof model. It employs two discrete sensing assemblies that provide independent, adjustable, fine resolution set points that can be calibrated to the same actuation point or split to the full span of the adjustable range without interaction.

The Dual Hi-Lo is popular for use in alarm systems configured to signal at a minimum and/or maximum pressure. The V1 is field adjustable making it a convenient choice for a wide variety of applications.

The SOR weatherproof pressure/vacuum/compound pressure switch is one of our most popular instruments. Models with standard wetted parts are normally ideal for air, oil and non-corrosive process applications however; we can build one to handle corrosive requirements. At the heart of the this mighty SOR pressure switch is a force-balanced, piston-actuated assembly with the sensing element sealed by a flexible diaphragm and a static “o” ring. A wide variety of wetted parts are available and a metal diaphragm can be welded to the pressure port thereby eliminating the o-ring.
