The EL6601 Ethernet switch port terminal is used for the decentralised connection of Ethernet devices to the EtherCAT Terminal network. The EtherCAT system relays the Ethernet communication of the connected devices fully transparent and collision-free. The switch port terminal can be installed at any location within the EtherCAT strand. No configuration is required. Further benefits underline the particular suitability for the application in industrial environments:
